Hi, everyone!I've been gone for quite awhile, but am jumping back in with six sentenes from my just released book, A Cowboy To Keep...
A bull snorted.
Laney froze.
Wyatt’s attention stayed with the
antibiotic he was drawing into the syringe. “Ignore him, babe. He’s just
talking.”

I love comments, and appreciate hearing what you think of my six!
Thanks!
First, congratulations on your 2 releases last week!
ReplyDeleteI love the feel and depth of your six. How she internally worked and thought about dealing with Mr. Huffy Bull. :c)
Great six!
Hey, thanks!
DeleteFun. That's a nice 6 you've got there ma'am! I love how she's so nervous and he's so calm.
ReplyDeleteHere's a little taste of backstory from my gal Jessica in INFAMOUS:
J.T. had been furious. Even her mother had made a rare appearance—more to grab her share of the publicity than out of any real maternal instinct.
Mason and Susan had gotten married.
She’d gotten therapy.
No one had gone to jail or, worse, rehab.
LOL LOL or wors, rehab. Love it.
DeleteTypical cowboy, lol. My husband would say something similar, so I "saw" your scene in my head. Nice six.
ReplyDeleteGreat! Thanks for coming by!
DeleteBeen there, done that, LOL. And bulls don't "talk" until they get ready to act. Great six. I hope Wyatt has good reflexes. ;)
ReplyDeleteHi, Silver. Yeah, the grumbling bull gets a little cranky.
Deleteknow something of the sport - nice snippet
ReplyDeleteHi, Sue. Thanks for coming by!
DeleteYou drew me right into that scene. Great six! :)
ReplyDeleteHi, Jessica. Thank you!
DeleteI wouldn't want to make a bull mad at me either! Looking forward to more.
ReplyDeleteHi, Cate.
DeleteYeah, she's about to get in a heap of trouble.
Love your voice, as always! Not a position I'd like to be in, however. I wish her luck with relaxing! Great six! And congrats on your releases!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jenna. Hugs.
DeleteNice six! Bulls and their snorting, just ignore them. As much as you can ignore a one ton animal. :D
ReplyDeleteYes, she needs to ignore them...LOL
Delete“He killed me, Blake.”
ReplyDelete“Damn it, no, he didn't. You're right here. I'm holding you.” He kissed her with all the passion he had in him.
“Do it again,” Kate whispered.
My six from The Wanting Heart, set to be released, July 9, 2012.

ReplyDeleteHi, Melissa1 Thank you!
DeleteWelcome back, and you returned with a flair. Like Melissa says, I'm ready for more. Great job.
ReplyDeleteHi, Ginger. No nasty stuff this time. LOL
DeleteGreat six. You got the setting and the characters down pat~and in only a few sentences. Excellent!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the compliment. I appreciate it.
DeleteSomehow I think I'd want a bull restrained for an antibiotic shot. HE doesn't know it's for his own good.
ReplyDeleteLOL, Sue Ann. The sick bull isn't the issue....
DeleteGreat sentences. I can really feel her anxiety.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Arlene.
DeleteLove it! Sorry I'm late! Can't wait to read this one! Congrats on the release! I'm so happy for you :)
